Jo Stumpner’s Numerology Personality Report

I just had a numerology report done.  As I read through the report that my friend drew up after asking me a few questions including my location and time of birth, I realized it may actually be a pretty accurate description.  I have to say I am still skeptical yet I like to keep an open mind.

I thought I would share and would welcome any feedback from those who know me. Accurate or complete rubbish?

The Life Path number gives us a broad outline of the opportunities, challenges, and lessons we will encounter in this lifetime. Your Life path is the road you are traveling. It reveals the opportunities and challenges you will face in life. Your Life Path number is the single most important information available in your Personality Chart!

Your Life Path Number is 17/8

You are gifted with natural leadership and the capacity to accumulate great wealth. You have great talent for management in all areas of life, especially in business and financial matters. You understand the material world; you intuitively know what makes virtually any enterprise work. Your talent lies not with the bookkeeping or petty management, but with the greater vision, it’s purpose, and long range goals.

You are a visionary and a bit reckless. You possess the ability to inspire people to join you in your quest, but often they are incapable of seeing what you see. Therefore, those around you need your continual guidance, inspiration, and encouragement. You must prod them into action and direct them along the lines of your vision.

You attract financial success more than any other Life Path, but effort is required.

Your challenge in life is to achieve a high degree of detachment, to understand that power and influence must be used for the benefit of mankind. Those born with the Number 8 Life Path who do not understand the real and relative value of money are bound to suffer the consequences of greed; they run the risk of losing it all!

You must learn to bounce back from failures and defeats. You have the character and resilience of a true survivor. It is not uncommon for a person with your Life Path to experience major reverses, including bankruptcies, financial failure, but you also have the talent and the sheer guts to make more than one fortune, and build many successful enterprises. More than most people, your failures in marriage can be extremely expensive for you.

Despite the difficulties that life presents, you will experience the satisfaction that comes from material wealth and the power that comes with it.

Business, finance, real estate, law, science (particularly history, archeology, and physics), publishing, and the management of large institutions are among the vocational fields that suit you best. You are naturally attracted to positions of influence and leadership — Politics, social work, and teaching are among the many other areas where your abilities can shine.

You are a good judge of character, which aids you well in attracting the right people to you.

Most 8s like large families and sometimes tend to keep others dependent longer than necessary. Although jovial in nature you are not demonstrative in showing your love and affection.

The desire for luxury and comfort is especially strong in you.

Your Life Path treads that dangerous ground where power lies — and can corrupt. You may become too self important, arrogant, and domineering, thinking that your way is the only way. This leads inevitably to isolation and conflict. The people you run the risk of hurting most are those you love, your family and friends.

Be careful of becoming stubborn, intolerant, overbearing, and impatient. These characteristics may be born early in the life of an 8 Life Path, who often learn these negative traits after suffering under a tyrannical parent or a family burdened by repressive religious or intellectual dogmas.

Those with the 8 Life Path usually possess a strong physique, which is a symptom of their inherent strength and resiliency.

Your Birthday is 26

You have a good sense of money and a talent for business. Your approach to business is original, creative and daring. You possess sound judgment and need to be in charge of whatever you are doing. You are a good manager and organizer. You have a gift for seeing the larger view, but may neglect the details. You are efficient and can handle large projects, enterprises, or businesses.

You are a realist, self-confident, practical, and highly ambitious. Your challenge is to maintain a balance between your material goals and the fundamental human qualities of understanding, compassion and love. Your business life can cause you to become callous and jaded toward others. Do not let the dog-eat-dog attitude become your only means of looking at life. All people have talents and karmic burdens — maintain gratitude for all that you have been given, and share it with others to the extent that you are able.

You can be very diplomatic and tactful. You prefer to get things done by persuasion rather than force.

You are dependable and have high expectations of yourself.

You have a need for status and may show off the fruits of your labor with an impressive car or house. You can easily overdo such ostentation, and may appear showy in the eyes of others.

You are proud of all you possess. You like to be complemented.

You have strong character, but may be domineering and bossy. You have little patience with weakness, be it your own or someone else’s. You have to be careful not to be discouraged too easily. Life will test your resolve and your willingness to get up off the floor after being knocked down. But you possess the strength and courage to succeed over any difficulty. You do not express your feelings much. It is hard for you to give up the past.

You are generous and willing to help in a crisis. You can be philanthropic and a pillar of your community.

Your Expression is 20/2

You have a great talent for working with others; you possess tact and refinement. You have a highly developed intuition. This provides you with insight into personalities and situations. Therefore, you act with tact and subtle persuasion. You possess a kind of radar, avoiding the landmines within another’s personality, yet bringing out their goodwill. These abilities make you the perfect diplomat.

Your abilities are better expressed while working with others than by working alone. In the same way, you perform better in a partnership than in a leadership role.

You seek balance and peace in all relationships and situations. The key to your personality is sensitivity, but there are two sides to the coin: You have the ability to perceive the thoughts and emotions of others, and can work gently with others for a mutually shared goal. This makes you a great asset in any group endeavor.

However, your sensitivity makes you vulnerable. You can be thrown off balance by an unkind word, a conflict, or by hostile conditions at work. You are far more upset by these conditions than people without your sensitivity. While others appear to be enduring troubled times with a modicum of turmoil, you suffer the turbulence of life as if your very survival were at stake.

In difficulties, you tend to persevere and steadily erode the resistance. You are like a gentle wind that shapes the rock.

You are friendly and open-minded. You are a great support person, pulling the best out of those around you. You are the power behind the throne. You are indispensable to the leadership of another, providing insight and advice that is essential. Yet, despite the invaluable service you provide, you often do not get the credit and recognition you deserve, which can be frustrating. Your natural modesty and the enjoyment you get from being an important asset is usually satisfaction enough for you.

Close relationships are essential to your happiness. When single, you dream of finding your “soul mate.” When married, you are concerned with your spouse’s needs, emotions, and thoughts. You are an outstanding marriage partner, giving, thoughtful, and conscious of meeting the needs of your loved one. You provide great support for your spouses career. You are a passionate lover.

You are blessed with a high degree of musical talent. You have a good sense of rhythm and harmony.

You are a good counselor with an inborn talent for psychology and finely tuned intuition.

Your Minor Expression is 7

Your short name stimulates your desire for knowledge. It helps you to specialize and to deepen your understanding of a particular subject. It helps you to focus.

Your Minor Expression number encourages you to accumulate knowledge regarding the mysteries of life. It makes you a more analytical thinker.

You are better able to look below the surface of things. You don’t take things at face value.

You may desire more time for private contemplation and meditation. This is a pull to spend more time alone.

Your Heart’s Desire is 20/2You want peace and harmony in all aspects of your life. You want to devote your life to someone or something. You fall in love easily. You are extremely sensitive and emotional. You can be sentimental and empathetic. You need friends and society to thrive.

You appreciate the refinements of life. You desire comfort and security. You have refined taste, and can be a connoisseur. You love music and possess a good deal of musical talent.

Your sensitivity is actually a symptom of your highly developed intuition. But you must learn to trust it.

You are a gentle soul and shy away from confrontation as long as possible. You experience a battle within when you do not believe you can handle a situation; this may have a paralyzing effect on you.

You prefer to give in when you should assert yourself. Very often, you are afraid to use your own power in the face of someone else’s aggressiveness; you may ultimately give in merely to avoid a fight.

Conversely, you are extremely diplomatic and tactful. You like to accomplish things through quiet persuasion. You dislike force.

Your Minor Heart’s Desire is 6

Your short name increases your capacity to radiate warmth, solicitude, and kindness. You are more patient with others and a far better listener. Your willingness to carry the burden of others is increased.

Your Minor Heart’s Desire increases your creativity and your domestic instincts. Women feel better at home; men feel more comfortable in the roles of husband, father, and provider.

Your sense of harmony and social consciousness are enhanced. You are better able to settle disputes.

Six is the most balanced of all numbers, in harmony with all other numbers. Very few people with 6s in prominent places stray very far from their true natures.

Your Personality is 9

You have an impressive and aristocratic bearing. No matter how tall you are, you appear noble and upright. You are very much in control of the image you send out to others.

Many actors, dancers, and other performers have a 9 Personality Number. You are elegant, graceful, and charismatic. Many admire you.

You have the kind of stature that pulls people to you or repels them intensely. Some are jealous of you and may seek to belittle you.

You may encourage this to some extent by the amount of arrogance you radiate. This is a caution for all 9 Personalities — they are sometimes aloof and hold themselves above the world.

Your challenge is to come down to earth with your fellow man.

Conversely, you have a great compassion for humanity and want to dedicate yourself to improving the lot of others. You are better when dealing with the trials of the many than the trouble of a single person. You are more capable of working on the grand scale, addressing the needs of society, than on a one-to-one basis.

You are kind and sympathetic, helpful and compassionate. Behind the controlled and calm facade, you are sensitive, vulnerable and emotional.

You have excellent taste. There is a good deal of artistic talent in you that shows in your home environment and your clothing.

You tend to see yourself as a guardian of society, a benevolent leader, guiding and directing your community toward a better world.

Your Maturity is 1

As you mature, you will find yourself needing an increasing amount of independence and individuality. You will fight harder for the recognition and rewards you feel you deserve and will be less willing to accept failure or limitations in any form.

Your drive and determination will grown as does your ability to take charge.

If there are already several 1s in your chart, especially among the core numbers, you will have to strive to avoid becoming bossy, rigid, stubborn and selfish. A person who allows these characteristics to run free will become bullish and lonely later in life.

If there are not many 1s in your chart, the influence of the Maturity Number will help you to establish your independence and success. From this foundation, you will have an active, adventurous, and exciting latter part of life.

Your First Hidden Passion Number is 1

You have a strong drive to stand out. You have a great ambition and desire to accomplish. You are highly competitive and want to be the best and the first in everything you do. You are highly energetic and creative. You are capable of influencing and even dominating others. You have highly developed political skills, and can succumb to manipulation unless your ideals are high.

Ironically, there are times when you lack confidence, especially at an earlier age, but you have the strength to overcome this obstacle.

You are a survivor, a warrior, a leader. Many great athletes and politicians have this number as a Hidden Passion.

Too many ones (6 or more in a name of average length), can make a person bullish, aggressive, violent, even tyrannical.

Your Second Hidden Passion Number is 5

You love travel, change, and new challenges. You are highly adaptable and versatile. You have a talent for languages, and are generally good with words. Writing, promotion, and public relations work suit you perfectly.

You are sensual and a bit impulsive. You love to satisfy your senses, which can get you into trouble. Overindulgence in food, drink and sex are common among people with too many 5s — six or more.

You are resourceful and original. You have a good sense of humor and a quick tongue.

Your desire for freedom is extremely strong and it will take effort and discipline to stick with whatever it is you started.

You may be interested in too many things, which can make it hard for you to apply yourself to one area successfully.

You are very unconventional.

Commitment in relationships and your work is fundamental to your happiness. You may have a tendency to wander from person to person, job to job, making depth of relationship or deep expertise difficult.

Your Plane of Expression Physical is 9

You have a strong presence. You are charismatic and have a dramatic flair in your personality, which may direct you to the theater.

You are also drawn to politics, publishing, promotion, and public service — any career that requires a certain amount of time before the public. You are attracted to doing things on a large scale.

You are a humanitarian. You are concerned about the well being of society. You have a great deal of compassion, tolerance and generosity.

You are highly idealistic and a bit of a dreamer. You are not particularly practical, however. Very often, you are not understood by others, and sometimes considered indifferent and aloof.

In some way, you want to please everyone and tend to give promises that may be impossible to keep.

If you develop your abilities, you have a significant chance to become famous.

Your Plane of Expression Mental is 8

You have a great talent as a business person. You can manage large corporations and institutions. You understand how to organize people and direct them toward some larger common goal.

You are highly ambitious and competitive. Money and power are essential to your sense of identity and self- respect.

You must guard against arrogance and superiority. You can be imperious.

You are demanding of yourself and others. You seek excellence in all things and refuse to settle for less.

Your Plane of Expression Emotional is 9

You love the many and want to dedicate yourself to the service of those less fortunate than yourself. You are willing to make great sacrifices for a worthy cause, and in fact draw enormous satisfaction from knowing that your life has made a positive difference to others.

Conversely, you have difficulty in one-to-one relationships, especially relationships with the opposite sex. You are viewed as impersonal and sometimes a bit aloof. You can also be hard to get to know.

You are a person possessed by your dream and have trouble with relationships that are not an integral part of that dream.

You appear to others as self-sufficient, which can make close relationships a little more difficult since people want to be needed.

You have enormous artistic talent, especially in a variety of arts, such as interior design, photography, acting, and writing.

You have great compassion and idealism. In fact, you are so idealistic that you can be a bit impractical and lose touch with the ground. You need a practical, down-to-earth cause to be most effective.

Your Plane of Expression Intuitive is 3

You are very original, imaginative and sometimes have fantastic ideas about spiritual matters. You are very artistic and inspiring. You have a talent with words, and may be drawn to the pulpit.

Your intuition is highly developed and above average. You  need to learn to trust your instincts more.

Your Rational Thought is 39/3

You are creative, but your thoughts tend to be scattered. You jump around inside your head without much focus. You come up with solutions that reveal an illogical approach, yet they often work.

As it applies to you, rational thinking is a contradiction in terminus. You project, interpret, and analyze your projects and problems in a manner that often leaves others flabbergasted. However, you are unbeatable when it comes to shining new and original light on issues; often coming up with unique answers.

You have this Rational Thought number in common with a number of famous and original thinkers — and the key-word here is original — throughout history.

Your Cornerstone is D

You are down to earth, practical, efficient, orderly and systematic. You are shrewd and determined. You can concentrate and overcome many difficulties. You have natural authority but can also be stubborn and rigid.

Your Subconscious Self is 8

You handle unexpected situations in an efficient manner and often manage to get the best out of it. You learn quickly and usually do not repeat the same mistakes. You want to be rewarded for your efforts and relate your success to the material aspects. You are dependable and solid in almost any kind of situation. You do not panic or scare easily. You have a business-like attitude to problems and realize quickly what needs to be done. You have a good understanding of money and matter. You are a survivor. You show leadership and organization and are physically courageous and competent.

I found it very interesting to read.  So, would you say; fairly accurate or complete rubbish?

  1. What a detailed report! I don’t know you accurately enough to say yay or nay but I would like my own reading. Where did you get it?

  2. It’s all very entertaining stuff, but it’s ultimately bunk. The mathematics of chance and coincidence (as in the possibility that one of these readings will specifically fit *you*) are well-documented these days. Where numerology is concerned, there was a very, very detailed experiment done for a BBC documentary where they had a numerologist create readings for specific types of people. What they did then was hand out those readings in an anonymous manner to people who *didn’t* match the types of people those readings were created for! Even still, the descriptions were found to be quite accurate by a majority of those people. The reason for that is due to how generic the readings actually are. It is *you* who will place the pieces where they fit within you.

Even worse is when you have someone you know (or who knows you) create one of these readings for you. At that point, they can fine-tune their descriptions to match factors they know about you, specifically. If not that, then cold reading is a very viable method used.

Personally, I think the only people who believe in numerology are those who really don’t care enough about seeking out how it could be possible to be explained via the mathematics of chance/coincidence and the scientific method — never mind when readings are actually applicable for various types, despite their supposed specificity!

Not that your friend had any malicious intent at heart, but there is a very, very great TED presentation by James Randi on matters of the supernatural, astrology, homeopathy, etc. that I think you might enjoy. Not to mention, his foundation has (and has had for YEARS) an offer for $1,000,000 to anyone who can prove supernatural claims via the scientific method (which is what ultimately disproves stuff like this). I really recommend you take a look at this as it’s very entertaining. It may not change your mind, but there’s definitely a valid point being addressed here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c0Z7KeNCi7g

As for being open-minded, it’s an admirable characteristic and one you should never lose sight of… but in the year 2010 with all that we know and all that we have, I find it increasingly difficult to remain tolerant of very, very dated practices like numerology. They really have been studied to death and 100% proven to be not what they claim. Unless you have a specific *need* to believe in it, it’s otherwise obvious that it’s merely a form of entertainment today (or, for some people, a way to earn one heck of a living).

That’s just my personal opinion on it all, though! =)

    -Stephen

PS – Out of general interest, you could perform your own experiment! Get readings from 9 other numerologists, then get readings from all 10 of them again based on a fabricated birth date, location, et al. The variation (or lack thereof) in data may well be a revelation all its own. =)

Lovely sharp post. Never thought that it was this easy. Extolment to you!
